The Officers and Crew returned from 2 weeks at “Rest Camp” on Friday July 28, 1944 .  At quarters on Sunday August 06th  at 1245 hours, Captain McCLEAN presented to the USS REDFIN Crew, the Submarine Combat Insignia and to George E. CARRINDER the Silver Star Medal.
